Any high-mix low-volume (HMLV) manufacturer – such as a forge shop, machine shop, fabricator, foundry, moldmaker, print shop, injection molder, steel service center or maintenance, repair and overhaul facility – makes hundreds, maybe thousands, of different products with different manufacturing routings for different customers who set different due dates for the products they order.
