four-layer model: boards of directors at the top, C-suites
managing operations, middle managers pushing
information upward and execution teams doing as they
were told. That model worked in an era of stability. But in
today’s world of artificial intelligence, perpetual disruption
and accelerating complexity, it’s a bottleneck.
