OVERVIEW

This 3-day Value Analysis (VA)/Value Engineering (VE) course focuses on developing the initial basic Value Engineering skills. It is designed for people who wish to facilitate VA/VE Workshops within an organization.

This course is intended for those interested in seeking certification through SAVE International as a Value Methodology Associate (VMA) and satisfies SAVE’s requirements for the VMF1B instructor-led course.

The VMF1B is a 24-hour course delivered by a licensed Certified Value Specialist (CVS®) instructor, and contains lecture, discussion, practice and review to provide the core competencies aligning with basic value understanding.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

PREREQUISITES

To sit for the SAVE International® Value Management Associate (VMASM) exam, students must complete both the self-paced VMF1A course offered by SAVE International and the instructor-led VMF1B course (this course). We strongly encourage all participants to complete the VMF1A course before registering for this course.

CERTIFICATION

Professional certification for Value Management is administered by SAVE International®. Our instructors are licensed by the SAVE International® Certification Board to teach the Value Methodology Fundamentals 1B (VMF 1B) and the Value Methodology Fundamentals 2 (VMF 2) courses.

Successful completion of this course (with prior completion of the self-paced VMF1A course) allows you to sit for the SAVE International® Value Management Associate (VMASM) exam.
