Overview:
In this three-day seminar, you will learn how to select and utilize key analysis tools employed to define workplace risk, evaluate hand/wrist and upper extremity-intensive tasks, and quantify low-back and manual materials handling activities. This workshop will provide you with ergonomics design tools that will allow you to develop a solution that is feasible, effective and justifiable. You may bring a videotape of your operation for review by the instructor.

This seminar provides hands-on experience using established ergonomics evaluation tools
- NIOSH lifting equation
- Snook tables,
- HAL
- Strain index
- Biomechanical models.
Content includes detailed decision criteria for selecting the right tool for a variety of situations. You will also learn how to develop specifications and guidelines for ergonomics solutions and the cost/benefit process for prioritizing and justifying controls.
