3 Days | 2.1 CEUs

Overview:

In this three-day seminar, you will learn how to select and utilize key analysis tools employed to define workplace risk, evaluate hand/wrist and upper extremity-intensive tasks, and quantify low-back and manual materials handling activities. This workshop will provide you with ergonomics design tools that will allow you to develop a solution that is feasible, effective and justifiable. You may bring a videotape of your operation for review by the instructor.

What You Will Learn:

  • Evaluate hand/wrist and upper extremity-intensive tasks
  • Manage ergonomics analysis
  • Quantify low back and manual materials handling activities
  • Select and utilize key analysis tools to define workplace risk

Course Content

This seminar provides hands-on experience using established ergonomics evaluation tools

  • NIOSH lifting equation
  • Snook tables,
  • HAL
  • Strain index
  • Biomechanical models.

Content includes detailed decision criteria for selecting the right tool for a variety of situations. You will also learn how to develop specifications and guidelines for ergonomics solutions and the cost/benefit process for prioritizing and justifying controls.
