You still have time to submit your abstract!

There's a new submission window (June 15-Aug. 15) for oral presentation abstracts (no papers) for the IISE Annual Conference & Expo 2020.

Register by Sept. 13 and save on live attendance for the Annual Conference 2020, or by Oct. 30 to attend the virtual conference!

Laissez les bons temps rouler - EVEN ONLINE!

The year's largest industrial and systems engineering event has expanded to the virtual world!

While ISEs the world over are looking forward to visiting with friends, colleagues and professionals they have known for years (or are meeting for the first time), for many the “new normal” includes travel restrictions. #IISEAnnual2020’s virtual option allows those in such situations to let the good times – and educational feast – roll online.

Whatever your choice, this is your best opportunity of 2020 to gather new ideas, network with leaders, up-and-comers and students, learn innovative tools and techniques and make a lifetime’s worth of connections and friends that will boost your career and change your life.

As they would say in New Orleans, “Oui, cher.” (Yeah, you right.)

Big ideas in the Big Easy!

Whether you attend in person or via the virtual world, take advantage of our second-chance abstract submission window (due Aug. 15, abstracts only, no papers). Prepare the 1-page abstracts per the conference guidelines – these should not be updated versions of already-accepted abstracts. They will be peer-reviewed. Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference program, subject to availability of presentation slots, in the order in which they are received.

Big news regarding the IISE Annual Conference & Expo! In the spring, we shifted our most popular worldwide meeting of industrial and systems engineers to a fall schedule Oct. 31 – Nov. 3 in New Orleans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As promised, your IISE leadership team continues to monitor the situation with your safety and health the top priority. As varying waves of the coronavirus continue to affect our lives and livelihoods, our current plans are to offer the conference in New Orleans as well as in a virtual format for anyone who is unable to travel to the event. This will better benefit our attendees’ schedules, restrictions and health concerns.

We encourage you to prepare for the Annual Conference and to attend this spectacular event – in-person or virtually! You can register now at will be an opportunity to celebrate the premier industrial and systems engineering event in New Orleans or from your home or office. IISE needs your support. Our conferences are a major revenue source and your attendance is critical to the Institute’s continued strength and ability to serve you and the profession at large. Let’s make this Conference one of the biggest ever!

As details unfold about our new, fresh Annual Conference & Expo, your team of staff and volunteers who develop the Annual Conference will keep you posted on the latest schedule, programming, registration options and more. Stay tuned to the Annual Conference site for current information and updates, and open your IISE emails to stay in the know. For now, just know that whether we’re able to be in New Orleans or not and even if you’re unable to travel to the event, you will be able to participate!

Please rest assured that IISE and its leaders are staying informed of this rapidly changing situation. We are here to support you during these trying times and hope that you will remain an active participant in our organization. Our Mission Statement is that we serve those who solve the critical and complex problems of the world. This is certainly one of those problems and together, we can get through this while helping others around the globe.

Thank you for your patience and support during this challenging time.
