The James W. Barany Student Award for Excellence
Recognizes undergraduate students who, since the beginning of their junior year (last six quarters or four semesters), have distinguished themselves through excellence of scholarship and campus leadership. The aim is to single out those who have brought distinction to industrial engineering at their institution.
Eligibility:
- The nominees should be graduating seniors during the academic year in which they are nominated and must be members of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers.
- Each IISE university chapter is encouraged to nominate up to two members for this award.
- No more than one first place, one second place, and one third place award will be given each year.

Judging:
This award is judged by the CIEADH committee.
